Candidate tries to walk away from home base
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Boulder liberal Mark Udall continues his run away from his “touchstone” and “home base” Boulder, Colorado.
Today, the NRSC announced the release of “Boulder Liberal, Mark Udall,” a Web ad chronicling Udall’s embarrassing attempts to run away from his “touchstone,” and the place he takes his “inspiration” from. (Longmont Times-Call, 10/6/07)
Udall now claims he lives in and represents Eldorado Springs, Colorado.
But he votes in Boulder.
The deed to his house lists Boulder.
And the personal financial disclosure he filed with the U.S. House of Representatives in 2007 lists Boulder, Colorado as his place of residence.
Even a Denver Post columnist sees a problem with Udall’s claims of representing Eldorado Springs. (Denver Post, 5/30/08)
“If Boulder liberal Mark Udall’s legal documents lists Boulder, Colorado, why he is trying to make voters believe he lives in Eldorado Springs?,” NRSC Communications Director Rebecca Fisher asked. “Clearly, it’s because he realizes Boulder liberal views don’t resonate in the rest of the state.”
