Mike Johanns said Saturday that if Republicans govern as Ronald Reagan governed, they can change the direction of the nation.
Johanns, the former Nebraska governor who is running against Scott Kleeb for U.S. Senate, spoke to the Nebraska State Republican Convention Saturday in La Vista.
He encouraged Nebraska Republicans to “give it everything you’ve got” this year. “This can be an election cycle where we can elect every Republican, but we need your help,” he told an audience of about 450.
Also at the state convention, national committeewoman De Carlson and national committeeman Pete Ricketts won re-election and will attend the national convention as delegates.
